Immigration legal services to help break down barriers to economic participation.
We provide a specialized set of low-cost and free legal services aimed at helping individuals and families on the pathway to legal residency and citizenship, opening up avenues for economic and civic participation in communities where many residents are excluded for reasons of immigration status. SBCC has established a special focus on young people who qualify under the provisions of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and works actively to establish tax records and other required paperwork to move these individuals on a rapid road to protection from deportation, social security numbers, drivers' licenses, work permits and full-scope Medi-Cal for clients under the age of 21.
